Becca & Olive

Coming soon…

The Uterine Rupture Foundation was created on what would have been Olive’s second birthday.

On October 8th 2023, our founder, Becca Holehouse (Brink), experienced a catastrophic fundal uterine rupture that went unrecognised until it was too late. The event cost her both her beautiful baby, Olive — who passed away before Becca got to meet her — and her uterus.

Determined that no other family should endure the same loss, Becca channelled her grief into purpose. Guided by Olive’s memory, she founded this organisation on that special day, transforming unimaginable pain into advocacy, awareness, and hope for others.

Through shared knowledge, compassion, and community, the idea for this foundation took shape — turning grief into action and awareness.

Becca writes:
“For me, learning about rupture and being part of a community of others who have experienced it has been the most healing part of this journey.
I cannot carry another pregnancy, but I root hard for those who can — and I hope to make a difference so fewer families ever face this heartbreak.”
